Payment Plan Options
See an item you really want, but can’t afford to pay for it all at once? We now offer 90 to 180 day payment plans on most items over $500.
Simply follow the steps below:
Contact the Scrimshaw Gallery staff at +1 (415) 331-1409 to make sure the item is eligible for the Payment Plan. We will charge a deposit of 25% of the purchase price of the item. The balance will be paid in subsequent scheduled payments.
Choose you payment schedule; 90-day, 120-day, or 180-day plans are available on most items. Shipping will be added to the final payment. If day scheduled payment falls on a holiday it will be charged the following business day. Once payment is made in full, we will immediately ship your item. You can always pay off the full amount earlier than the final scheduled payment if you’d like to get your item sooner.
Example Payment Plan Purchase:
On May 1st, Mark sees a really nice William Henry knife that sells for $1,200. Unfortunately, he does not have enough money to buy it right then, but Mark knows that if he doesn’t act quickly, the knife will probably be gone.
Mark calls the Scrimshaw Gallery and puts the knife on the timed Payment Plan.
He pays $300.00 which is the 25% initial deposit.
On June 1st Scrimshaw Gallery charges Mark’s credit card $300.00 (half of the remaining balance)
On July 1st Scrimshaw Gallery charges Mark’s credit card the final balance plus shipping of $314.22 and ships Mark his knife!
If a payment plan order is canceled prior to us shipping your order, you will be issued a full refund of any payment made. If the credit card is declined on any payment, we will email and call to alert you of the issue. This order will be held for five calendar days. If we do not hear from you within five calendar days, we will be forced to cancel your order and issue a full refund of any payments made.
Please make sure the item you wish to put on the Scrimshaw Gallery Payment Plan is the item you really want, as you will not be able to make any changes to a Payment Plan order. Any returns on items purchased through our payment plan will be refunded to the card on file. Please read our Returns and Exchanges page for more information.
